What is special about it?
The personal attention of a private yoga lesson is the most effective way to accelerate the benefits of a yoga practice. For thousands of years, yoga has been taught one-on-one. With private yoga instruction, you’ll be challenged safely and and have the luxury of asking questions along the way.
Whether you chose to practice on your own or with friends or family – your yoga classes are tailored to help you reach your health and wellness goals. I design a program that fits in with your schedule, your location and your level of practice. I provide lessons in English.
Which styles do I teach individually?
Hatha Yoga – the word Hatha is a combination of two words: Ha and Tha. Ha represents prana, or vital force, and Tha represents the mind, or mental energy. So Hatha Yoga means the union of pranic and mental forces. Hatha yoga is considered the foundation for all yoga styles, such as: Yin Yoga, Bikram Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa . Knowing the basic, you can easly find out which modern style is the best for you. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas) to align the body, promoting balance and flexibility. During this session you will get a gentle introduction to the most basic yoga postures and you’ll learn basic pranayama( a breathing technique).
Vinyasa yoga – Vinyasa is the Sanskrit word for „flow”, and vinyasa classes are known for their fluid, movement-intensivepractices. Vinyasa session is based on choreography with smoothly transition from pose to pose. The intensity of the practice is similar to Ashtanga, but no two vinyasa classes are the same. If you hate routine and love to test your physical limits, vinyasa may be just your ticket.
Yin Yoga – targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice. Yin Yoga postures are more passive postures, mainly on the floor . The time spent in these postures is much like time spent in meditation – practioners hold positions for three to five minutes, even 20 minutes at a time. This practice of yoga is good for students who want to get intimate with the self, with feelings, sensations, and emotions, something of which can be easy to avoid in a fast paced yoga practice. Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga.
I’m experienced also in: Partner Yoga, Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga and Kids Yoga.
I teach yoga because...
big part of my life were dedicated to dance. I was creating choreographies and I inviting other dancers to cooperation, so I had to learn them all steps. Teaching was obvious way of communication and sharing ideas. But after few years I decided, that I prefer inner explorations in yoga rather than expressive dance. So I slowly began to deepen knowledge about asanas and look for new quality in the body. I found so many positive aspects of the yoga practice, so it is natural to me share my passion with others. I like to teach in individual system, because it gives me a lot of time to learn possibilities and limitations of my students, and I can adapt the session to their current needs– Monika Lazuk
